Keith Loveland is a Nationally Recognized Attorney

Keith Alden Loveland is a nationally recognized attorney, author, consultant and teacher within the financial services profession. He is a subject matter expert to the North American Securities Administrators' Association [NASAA]; he previously served as a subject matter expert to the New York Stock Exchange [NYSE] Qualification Committee.

Mr. Loveland graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, earning a BA with dual majors in Philosophy and Pre-Law. Later he received a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law. He continued his education at Harvard University Law School, earning a Certificate in Securities Regulation. He was Valedictorian at Katz Graduate School, University of Pittsburgh, earning a Certified Fiduciary Auditor designation.

His Bar Admissions include the State of Minnesota, the Federal District Court (MN), and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Keith was Adjunct Professor, William Mitchell College of Law, from 1978 to 1987, and Adjunct Professor, Hamline University, from 1979 to 1981, where he taught Philosophy of Law and Jurisprudence. Keith also taught Insurance Law from 1980 to 1983. He is currently Adjunct Faculty for The Center for Fiduciary Studies, teaching the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) course for Investment Stewards, Investment Advisors, and Investment Managers. He taught Cybersecurity and Privacy Law in a Center for Board Certified Fiduciaries Certificate Program in an affiliation with the School of Professional Studies, Charlotte, North Carolina Campus of Wake Forest University.

Mr. Loveland has been a member of the Financial Planning Association since 1983, serving a three-year term on their Board of Directors from 2011 to 2013. He was a recipient of the national FPA Heart of Financial Planning Award in 2010. He was the Inaugural Recipient of Outstanding Contribution Award, 2005, Financial Planning Association of Minnesota. Recognized in 2017 for his teaching and contributions to his alma mater as one of two Inaugural Recipients of Outstanding Alumnus, UMD College of Liberal Arts.

Keith's written scholarship includes being co-author with David E. Rosedahl and Andrew C. Small, Protecting the Privacy of Client Information. Mr. Loveland was the Inaugural Recipient of Outstanding Contribution Award, 2005, Financial Planning Association of Minnesota.

Among his social groups, Keith has been admitted as a Member of Mensa, Intertel, and the Triple Nine Society, where he serves as Membership Officer Assistant. He has been promoted to Fellow, The International Society for Philosophical Enquiry (ISPE), a high-IQ society open to people who score at or above the 99.9th percentile on a standardized psychometric test of intelligence. ISPE is the third-oldest high-IQ society in the world, with Mensa being the oldest (98th percentile) and Intertel being the second-oldest (99th percentile). ISPE is, therefore, the oldest high-IQ society in the world with an entrance requirement set at the 99.9th percentile.
